Beliefs of Saint George Methodist Church

Our beliefs are grounded in the essential truths of Christianity, centered on the nature of God, salvation, and the role of scripture. At the core of our faith is the belief in the Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We affirm that God exists in three distinct persons, yet remains one in essence. God is the Creator of all things, the Redeemer who brings salvation through Jesus Christ, and the Sustainer who provides guidance and strength through the Holy Spirit.

We believe that salvation is not earned, but rather a gift from God, offered to all through grace. Salvation by grace through faith is at the heart of our theology. We trust that it is only through Jesus Christ—the one true way to Heaven—that we can receive eternal life and reconciliation with God. His sacrifice on the cross opens the door for all who believe in Him to experience forgiveness and redemption.

Additionally, we believe in the active presence of the Holy Spirit, who imparts spiritual gifts to believers for the edification of the church and the furthering of God's kingdom. These gifts enable us to serve one another and build up the body of Christ in love and truth.

Finally, we hold that the Scripture is the Inspired Word of God—divinely revealed and without error. It serves as the ultimate authority in matters of faith and practice, guiding us in all areas of life. Through the Bible, God speaks to His people, offering wisdom, instruction, and encouragement as we walk in faith.
