Reverend Joseph Aubrey (Joey) McDonald was born in Lumberton, North Carolina.  He grew up in Dillon County, South Carolina.  Reverend McDonald attended Latta High School and the University of South Carolina before graduating from Erskine Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree.  He served four different appointments over 26 

Reverend Joseph Aubrey (Joey) McDonald was born in Lumberton, North Carolina.  He grew up in Dillon County, South Carolina.  Reverend McDonald attended Latta High School and the University of South Carolina before graduating from Erskine Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree.  He served four different appointments over 26 years throughout South Carolina, followed by 4 years of service as the Superintendent of the Walterboro District.  Reverend McDonald is now an Independent Methodist and joyfully serves as the Senior Pastor of Saint George Methodist Church.  He is married to Reverend Mickaylla McDonald and, together they have five boys and three grandchildren.  He enjoys hiking and traveling.

Jordyn Kennedy, originally from Florence, South Carolina, is a proud graduate of Winthrop University. She met her husband, Hunter, during their time volunteering at Salkehatchie Summer Service, and together they have a daughter named River. Jordyn is a dedicated special education teacher in Branchville, SC, where she channels her passion

She met her husband, Hunter, during their time volunteering at Salkehatchie Summer Service, and together they have a daughter named River. Jordyn is a dedicated special education teacher in Branchville, SC, where she channels her passion for teaching into every aspect of her work. She brings this same enthusiasm and dedication to her role as youth director at Saint George Methodist Church. Jordyn is deeply committed to guiding young people in their faith journeys and helping them grow closer to Jesus.

Rebecca Crook has been a lifelong member of Saint George Methodist Church, actively attending since the late 1970s. She and her husband, Chad, were married in the church on May 14, 1994. They have twin daughters, born on July 21, 2000, who were christened at the church in December of the same year, the same day her husband joined the chur

Rebecca Crook has been a lifelong member of Saint George Methodist Church, actively attending since the late 1970s. She and her husband, Chad, were married in the church on May 14, 1994. They have twin daughters, born on July 21, 2000, who were christened at the church in December of the same year, the same day her husband joined the church. Their daughters are now 24 and live in Columbia, SC.

In addition to serving as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Rebecca has dedicated 31 years to special education and currently teaches in the Beaufort County School District. Her passion for working with children extends into the church, where she is committed to helping young people grow in their knowledge of the Bible and deepen their understanding of its teachings. Rebecca’s heart for the children of the church and the community continues to shape her work in ministry, making a lasting impact on the next generation of believers.
